Metocean Engineer / Oceanographer

We require a Metocean Engineer / Oceanographer to undertake coastal and offshore oceanographic data acquisition and analysis projects. The responsibilities include client liaison, project planning and logistics, mooring design and deployment, sensor programming and calibration, data analysis and report writing.

Experience/skills:

• A strong practical background in oceanography.
• Experience with sub-surface and surface mooring installations.
• Servicing oceanographic equipment.
• Experience in programming and deployment of oceanographic instrument systems.
• IT problem solving (preferably serial and network communications).
• Demonstrable project management/co-ordination experience.
• Data checking, analysis and report writing.
• Attention to detail
• Championing H&S whilst on site and adhering to company QHSE policies.
• Developing and adhering to best practises in oceanographic survey
• Ensuring knowledge on instrumentation and industry practices is current and progressive

You will have immediate responsibility for high profile projects throughout the UK. You will be determined, have a flexible approach and be eager to contribute towards Partrac’s growth.
