Marine Scientist (Graduate)
A background in marine science / biology is essential. Reporting directly to the project manager, you will be directly involved with marine and estuarine survey preparation, logistics, instrument programming and deployment, data acquisition, interpretation, processing, and reporting. The job requires flexibility as it involves UK and potentially international travel. You must have the work ethic and interpersonal skills to be able to successfully work on multidisciplinary projects in a team environment.
Experience/skills:
- Acquisition and analysis of marine and environmental data in estuarine and shallow marine environments. It is expected that this will be experienced gained through your degree course.
- Data processing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of basic electronics and/or computer (software/hardware) troubleshooting, would be advantageous but not essential.
